Catchin' Sand Bass

On Robert's "off" days, these boys have been out fishing, fishing, fishing!  Some days they only catch 2 or 3, other days they bring in 15-20!!!  We've eaten some, but our freezer is filling up with lots of sand bass.  They just love it, and I love that they have a fun activity to do with their daddy!  It's fun to hear all their tales of the ones that got away, and riding on the boat, or walking along the river bank... they are usually plenty dirty, plenty worn out, and plenty happy afterwards.  They are learning many life lessons and making wonderful memories for years and years to come!
And on days like these, these are definitely Daddy's Boys!

Life on the Go!

I feel like we have been out and about -- on the go -- staying busy lately.  So this is what it looks like in our van right now -- 3 little boys in a row, all strapped in their 5-point harness!  (Listening to music or watching a DVD in this pic.)  I like that his pictures doesn't show all the messiness in the van -- HA!  In the 2 years we have had it, we have broken our Odessey in -- that's for sure!
It's a fun, and busy, sometimes crazy life, and I just love it!!!

Sunny Day in February = A Zoo Trip!!

It was sunny and in the mid-70s yesterday, so we decided to take a trip to the Waco Zoo!  The boys were so excited and had lots of fun!  We had to take advantage of the beautiful weather, plus there was hardly anyone else there, so no crowds!!  (win-win!)
We really enjoy the Waco Zoo, although it is small, there is still plenty to see and do to keep the boys all entertained!  and they love the little playground in the middle!

Luke watching the gibbons swing and hang on the ropes.
The orangutan was AWAKE (it always seems to be sleeping, like a giant orange shaggy rug!!!)
It came right up to the window when the boys were there and just stared through the glass.
Seth playing on the little horse statue
Hanging on the ropes like little monkeys!
Making music by jumping on the tiles
 The giraffe
 Checking out the catfish
On the move, but stopping briefly for a quick pic
 My sweet big boy!
Seth was a little reluctant to go down the slide at first, so Luke gave him a little help -- then he wanted to do it over and over and over again!
 Daniel's turn!

 Checking out the giant tortoise
Luke took a pic of me and Seth -- Daniel wanted NOTHING to do with being in it though -- so it's just his little bottom!
We had a fun morning at the zoo!!!

Pre V-Day Texas Snow!

So this past winter has been so mild -- we've had many days in the 60s and 70s, nice and sunny.  But we will also have a few "cold" days in the upper 40s to 50s.  And then there was the 1 day in the 30s that it snowed!!!  It wasn't really much of a snow fall -- just a few giant flakes falling gently down, but it sure was pretty and unexpected!  The boys thought it was pretty cool and wished that it would have been feet of snow falling, but I thought it was just enough to enjoy a little big, and it was fun while it lasted!

Here's Daniel out on the front porch -- didn't want to bother putting on socks and shoes or even a shirt under that jacket -- silly boy!!!  But he only stayed out ~1 minute!

And Luke trying to catch a few snowflakes with his tongue -- we've all done that at some point in our lives, right!?!
