Luke's 5th Birthday Party

We had a blast celebrating Luke's 5th birthday at Pace Park and Salado Creek!  There were lots of friends and family, and cupcakes and fun!  We quickly did the formalities of the party -- singing happy birthday, snacks, drinks -- then everyone grabbed a minnow net and headed over to the creek to see what they could catch!  They caught a bunch of minnows and a few other critters -- a frog, a crawfish, etc.  The weather was sunny and beautiful and the kiddos (and parents) all had a great time!

Soccer Pics and Game

 Our Under 6 Spring soccer team had their pictures before the game today... they are a super cute group of kiddos and several of them are good friends

Bluebonnets and Boys 2012

 

I just LOVE the Texas wild flowers in Spring -- especially the bluebonnets!!!  Here's is 1 attempt at getting some pictures of the boys in a field of bluebonnets... they didn't want to co-operate together at the same time, but I was able to get a few good individual pics!

My FAVORITE one -- they were being SO sweet to each other!!!!  Love it!

Probably the best one I got of all 3 boys together -- they were just walking through the field together!  Sweet boys!

Weekend Fun! (Boy Style!)

 Luke went out fishing with Daddy and Pops -- they caught ~52 sand bass!!!!  That was a bunch of fish!!  He was one worn out little boy at the end of the day!

The next afternoon, we went over to a little pond area and let the boys play in the water and catch some minnows.  Luke did pretty good, and caught about 2 dozen of them!  We'll see how long we can keep them alive!

It was a fun afternoon, and actually pretty warm already, since it's only March!!!  The boys had a blast and we'll have to go back again soon!
