Family Fun Night

We enjoyed a fun evening out on the lake!  It was a "quiet" night in the midst of a very busy week of festivities, parties, events, etc.  The boys had a great time throwing rocks, and getting their feet wet.  Then we went out on the lake to cruise around a bit before stopping at a "crappie hole" to fish for a while.  It was very pleasant out -- not too hot, thankfully, but the fish weren't really biting much... mostly nibbles, and bait-robbers, and only 1 or 2 reeled in.  The boys had fun petting and holding 1 crappie before throwing him back.  A fun time of free family entertainment!

4th of July Fun

Since living in central Texas for several years now, we have tried to make some fun family traditions -- one of them has been going to the Belton 4th of July Parade.  It is lots of fun and the boy love it!  Despite the fact that it is usually ridiculously HOT, we have a great time and usually see lots of friends too!

We had my family in town visiting, so they came along with us.

June 2012 Wrap-Up

Well, June was a super busy month for us -- we tried to cram alot of super fun activities in when Robert was off work, and that pace seemed to continue throughout the month!  Here are a couple of misc pictures from some more things we did!

Vacation Bible School at our church!  We had a blast learning about the Amazing Wonders that God has made!  This year, I was a teacher in the Pre-K class, so I was with Luke!  It was lots of fun and very high-energy (12 boys, and only 5 girls!)!  We all enjoyed it, but were super exhausted by the end of the week!

We were able to meet up with some great friends at their families' lake house to play and relax for a few days in Granbury.  The kiddos had so much fun swimming, jumping from the high platform, fishing, riding in the boat and jet skis, and just playing with friends!

So that was June 2012 -- another fun and busy month!!!

Potty Training -- Round 3!

Well, my littlest boy, isn't such a "little" boy anymore... he is potty training!!!  I had actually been putting this off the past month or so because we just had too much busyness going on to stay home and really be able to focus on it, but I have procrastinated enough!  He is doing great so far, and loves being a "big boy" in "big boy unna-wears"!  

The 2 big boys are super proud of their little brother and give him lots of encouragement!!!  And they think that it's a good excuse to run around in just their underwear!  Silly boys!  But, hey, it is summer time in Texas, so it's HOT!!!

Schlitterbahn

 Another fun-filled day of adventure at Schlitterbahn (in New Braunfels)!!!!  We had a blast riding the tube rides and Luke was tall enough to ride several of the "big" rides!  He is so brave and fearless!!! His favorite was the black tunnel 2-seater tube ride... he said it was his favorite "because the line to wait was so short!"

Time for hugs as we said good-bye to our dear, sweet friends!  It was so great to get to see them all and play and have lots of fun!  The boys love getting to play with their buddies!!!  And we miss them already!
