It was a sunny and warm "fall" day, so I took the boys over to the hiking trails by Lake Stillhouse Hollow -- one of their all-time favorite spots to play and be outdoors! They love exploring, running, climbing, jumping, seeing some of God's creatures (mostly fish, frogs, bugs, etc.), and playing in or near the creek. They are all so happy and content whenever we go here -- and one of the perks of homeschooling, is that we can make little trips like these very educational!
Notice that these are the only pictures of the boys all dry near the creek...
Me and Abby -- she slept the majority of the time -- nice and snug!
It started off with just putting their feet into the water, and going in the VERY shallow parts...
However, that quickly changed to running through the creek, and getting their whole bottom halves wet...
(Luke is holding a water bottle with a teeny tiny little frog that he caught.)
And within ~5-10 minutes this is what they looked like -- pretty much swimming in the little creek -- soaking wet from head to toe! Loving every minute of it! And only a little bit chilly afterwards.
I love the fun and spontaneous moments like this with my kiddos!!!
