Happenings

Well, things here at the Anderson household are pretty busy -- that seems to be our "norm"! Here's some of the things that we have been up to the last couple of weeks:

Popsie came to visit for a few days -- he had some unexpected vacation time (recovering from Bell's Palsy), and got to play with the boys for a few days. They thought that was lots of fun -- we went to parks, went to the pool, fed some very hungry ducks, went fishing, and had a good ol' time! Luke even caught a ~5 pound catfish on his fishing pole!

We took our first road trip to Fort Worth as a family of 5 -- we got to meet up with lots of family and friends and show Seth off to everyone! Robert wanted to go up to hunt (Sept 1st is opening day for Dove hunting here), so we decided to tag along and make a little trip out of it. The weather was amazing -- rainy, cool, breezy, etc. It makes it feel like Fall weather is coming! A great relief to the 100+ degrees of August! We got to see some good friends, the Livers, who have moved up to the DFW area from Temple, and play with their 3 sweet kiddos! We went to the Fort Worth zoo with Nana and saw lots of animals! Luke went out "hunting" for dove for his very first time!

Luke is really getting to be a big boy now!!! It is so fun to watch him change and grow -- and although he is still usually a "Momma's boy", he is really liking to do more and more "boy" things with his daddy! He loves to "help" mow the grass! He loves to go fishing!!! Loves being outdoors! Loves hunting dove now! Loves his new toy shotgun! And loves wearing his camo clothes (he actually wore them for 3 days straight!!!!!)

Daniel is still doing great with potty training! He very seldom has accidents and still gets all excited whenever he goes peepee or poopoo in the potty! He is becoming more of an opinionated 2-yr-old, but usually is laid-back and goes with the flow. He likes playing with his toy shotgun too, and will tell me "Not people, Mommy!" (our #1 rule, is "we don't point the guns at people")

We are starting some at home pre-school ABCs-type stuff now. It will be fun to have some "structured" type activities to do with Luke mostly, and Daniel as well. So this week we are on the letter A -- I hope that I am able to stay on top of it and keep up with it throughout the upcoming months!

Seth is growing like a little weed and such a little sweetheart--- more on that to come in another post. He loves his 2 big brothers!!! Here's a couple of pics until then!

So I think that just about covers most of it -- we are all healthy and enjoying every minute of everyday!
