My Super Readers!

So for Halloween this year the boys were Super Readers (from the PBS show Super Why!) -- Luke was Super Why (with the "Power to READ!"),
Daniel was Alpha Pig (with "Amazing Alphabet Powers!") and
Seth was the Super Letters (the "Super Story answer").

For those of you who watch the show this all makes more sense!!!

So we had lots of fun dressing up at home, for a playgroup with friends at the park, the Fall Festival at our church, and a neighborhood party and trick-or-treating with friends!

Trying on the costumes -- everyday leading up to Halloween!

October Birthdays!

Well, October was such a busy month for us!!!! We had lots to do and 3 (out of 5 of us) have birthdays in October!
It was a blast to celebrate Daniel turning 2 on the 16th!!!!
Then the very next day (17th), Robert turned 31 -- we got to enjoy a dinner date night out! (Thanks to my mother-in-law for watching the boys.)
Then I turned 31 on the 29th -- and we enjoyed another date night out! (Thanks to my mother for watching the boys!)

Super fun times and a kick-off to the busyness of the holiday season coming up!

Seth Growing

SETH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our sweet baby Seth is getting so big these days -- he is so happy and loves to giggle, coo, and smile -- especially for his big brothers!
He can be pretty loud when he is "talking" and laughing!
He enjoys tummy time, and will roll himself onto his back.
He loves holding and "eating" his little link toys.
He thinks he is big and can sit up with just a little bit of help from Mommy -- I think he just props up on all of his tummy fat rolls ;)
He is starting to get into a routine more these days, but not 100% predictable yet.
He is still waking up 2-4 times to eat at night... some of that is due to having a cold recently though, so hopefully that will get better SOON!
He weighs ~17 pounds already!!! (on our home scale, we go to the doctor next week for his 4 month check-up). Yes, my baby has "cankles"!!!!! But at least they are cute on him, and he will out grow them once he starts moving in a few months!
He still likes to sleep in his swing for naps.
He is much better in the carseat now that it is cooling off a little!
He loves being carried in the Hotsling!
He is generally content and happy to go along with whatever the rest of us are doing!
He is such a little sweetheart and I just can't believe that he is getting so big so fast!!!

Daniel's 2nd Birthday

Well, my sweet little Daniel "baby" is officially 2 -- I am not sure how 2 years have flown past SO fast!!!! I vividly remember the day that Daniel surprised us all and decided to come out 1 month early just like it was yesterday!
Luke and I were just having a "normal" day -- playing at the park with our friends in the morning, went home for lunch and naps, but for some reason, I just felt "off" -- by ~6pm after Robert finally convincing me to get ready and go get checked out at the hospital, I agreed. So we left our house and dropped Luke off at a neighbor's house (Thanks, Dee!!!!) ~7pm, made it to the hospital ~7:20. Got checked in and finally realized "I'm in labor!" Learned that Daniel was coming -- ready or not, and that he had turned himself around and was now breech! And the next few minutes were quite a blur as they tried getting me back to a L&D room -- when midway my water broke and I felt that incredible urge to push -- all the while asking "where is my epidural!?!?" And barely in the room, but before they could get me to the "real bed", at 8:02pm little Daniel Cole was born -- butt first and with no pain meds! What a crazy story! He then had to spend 10 days in the NICU getting his lungs cleared and growing before he could come home.
We had a fabulous support system of wonderful family and friends who prayed for little Daniel in those early days, and God heard each and every one of those prayers and answered them! Daniel is a 100% healthy little guy and he is such a blessing to our family! I am excited to see how God chooses to use him in the future!

Here's some fun pictures from Daniel's 2nd birthday party at a nearby gym -- Gabrielle's. He and his friends enjoyed getting to run around and play and then eat pizza and cupcakes, and pop bubbles! He had a wonderful day and is thrilled to be 2 now!
