AngelFire, NM

Well, we spent all of last week on vacation with my family (us, my parents, & brother & sis-in-law) in AngelFire, NM. It was a ~13 hour car ride, and I am so glad that we have our Odyssey! It is now officially broken in! The boys did great both there and back considering how long that is to be stuck in a carseat! And Robert and Stacey get special shout-outs for doing most of the driving!!!!
The weather started out being sunny and beautiful, and starting Monday night we got snow, snow, snow and more snow (I think a total of ~2 feet while we were there!)!!! It was so fun to watch it and play in it (for short periods!) and it made for PERFECT skiing conditions -- all that great powder!
We found a little hill behind our condo perfect for tubing! Glad it wasn't any bigger because coming back up (pulling the boys) was quite a workout!!!

The boys going along for the ride!
About to head down! Weeeeeeee!

So (as mentioned in my last post) I had no intentions of skiing (just to play it safe) -- BUT after being there a few days and getting all the fresh snow, and hearing Luke beg every morning as Robert would leave to go ski "Can I go ski too, Mommy?" I caved and decided to go (for Luke) on the bunny and green slopes only -- making sure to take it EASY! And let me say, it was so much fun and so worth it, and thankfully we all remain in one piece!

Going up the lift with me -- he was sure to hang on tight!

Headed down with me -- we had to keep reminding him to stand up, he wanted to lean back... but he did AWESOME... never at all scared or anything, just as brave and fearless as he could be!

Going down with Daddy!Getting on the lift.

A little video clip of Luke and Daddy skiing! So so cute! What a little dare-devil!

So he ended up skiing 2 different days for a couple of hours each day, and he absolutely LOVED it! He has talked about it constantly since then and loves watching the videos and saying "That's me skiing with Mommy/Daddy!"

Here's a couple more fun pics in the snow, and just hanging out.
Daniel all bundled and ready to go, go, go!
Daniel not sure what to think about all that white snow! Very different for a Texas boy!
Luke watching for Daddy at the bottom of the slopes! Here comes Daddy -- a skiing machine!!!!!! He skied 5 days in a row!!!

Here's our whole gang, +1... Pops and Uncle Stacey delivered on their promise to make us a snowman!!!!

We had a great time, with wonderful weather and skiing conditions! So much fun, can't wait to get back again. But for tonight, it will be great to sleep in my own bed!!!!!!
