Mud Quest and a little about Luke

Saturday, October 1st, Robert did the MudQuest 6.5 miles race in West, TX. It's a course out in the middle of a huge pasture/field that has ~30 obstacles like mud pits, rope ladders, wading/swimming in a creek, climbing up and over things, etc. So you get SUPER DIRTY along the way! They had a little course for "Tots" so Luke got to get a little dirty too! Fun times! Here's a couple pictures from that.

Daddy got to run along side of Luke to help him out! ;)

My sweet Luke Bennett is now officially 3.5! Even though I have been referring to him as 3.5 for a couple of months now!
He is such a sweet boy -- gives hugs and kisses and very affectionate.
He is so smart -- loves to read books, build things, learn letters and numbers and do "school work", and he can remember little details that even I forget sometimes!
He is a big helper around the house and with his 2 little brothers -- he and Daniel love playing together and can usually occupy each other without too much fighting, and he loves to play with Seth and make him smile!
He thrives on structure and routine -- likes to have predictability in his days and always asks "what we're gonna do".
He is quite independent -- dresses and undresses himself, can get himself snacks and drinks, helps with his laundry, etc.
He loves the outdoors -- fishing, hunting, playing at parks, running, climbing, jumping, ANYTHING outside!!!
He (usually) has good manners -- says "please", "thank you", "excuse me", "yes ma'am/sir", and we are still working on readily saying "I'm sorry"
He likes to play games like Hi Ho Cherrie-O, Matching/Memory, Chutes and Ladders, Don't break the Ice, etc -- and he usually wins! ;)
He still lets me sing and rock with him before he goes to bed -- his favorite bedtime songs are: "God is So Good", "The BIBLE", "Jesus Loves the Little Children", "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands", "My God is So Big", etc.
He makes me so proud to be a Momma and brings such joy to our family!
